Mrs. Sutherland, 5th Grade Science and Social Studies

I am so excited to get started at McFadden and join this family! I am born and raised here in Rutherford County and a product of Rutherford County Schools. I received my Bachelor's of Science in 2012 from Middle Tennessee State University. My degree is Interdisciplinary Studies, with an emphasis in science education. I then went on to earn my Master's from Carson Newman Univeristy in Educational Leadership. This will be my 11th year teaching and I have spent my time teaching 5th-7th science and most recently high school Biology. I am so excited to bring my content knowledge to my students and challenge them to achieve greatness! I have been married to my husband, Taylor, for 8 years and we have two little girls Ivy (5) and Millie (6 months).  Ivy starts kindergarten here in the fall. We are ready to be all in for McFadden!
