Welcome to the McFadden Library!
My name is Megan Frazier.  I have worked both in Murfreesboro City Schools and Rutherford County.  I am the mother of three amazing daughters who currently attend or are alumni at this school.  My husband works for Raymond James as a certified financial planner.  I love to spend free time at World Outreach Church and on my parents' farm.  Anticipation fills the walls of this library as I engage with the students and parents of the McFadden family.
My name is Janet McElhanon.  This year marks my 29th year as a library assistant at McFadden.  I earned my B.S. from MTSU in 2004.  Outside of McFadden, I read, travel, and spend time with my family.  I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to establish a career here.
This year teamwork is an integral part of our library.  Mrs. Frazier and Mrs. McElhanon will work together to make this experience a positive one.  The McFadden Library has an incredible collection of books, and we are always looking for new titles.
Our fundraisers include:
  • Smart Cards
The library sells these cards during the first month of school.  The cost is 20.00 and 10.00 goes to the library to purchase books and supplies.
  • Scholastic Book Fairs
Book fairs are typically in the library during the week of the first 2 showcase events.  We have      added hundreds of titles, mostly non-fiction, to our collection through the support of the book      fairs.
  •  Donations
If you are looking for a gift that is opened over and over again, consider a book for the library.  We have a special display for books donated in honor of, in memory of, for birthdays or Christmas. For details,  please see Mrs. Frazier or Mrs. McElhanon if you are interested.
