Welcome to the McFadden Library!
Megan at WOC
My name is Megan Frazier.  I have worked both in Murfreesboro City and Rutherford County Schools.  I am the mother of three amazing daughters who currently attend or are alumni at this school.  My husband works for Raymond James as a certified financial planner.  I love to spend free time at World Outreach Church and on my parents' farm.  Anticipation fills the walls of this library as I engage with the students and parents of the McFadden family.
Hanna Sloan
I am so excited to be back at McFadden! I was a student at McFadden from 2004 - 2010, and I finished my k-12 education at Central Magnet.
I am a recent graduate from Middle Tennessee State University, where I received my BS in Theatre.
While receiving my undergrad, I was an employee of Murfreesboro City School's Extended School Program for 4 1/2 years.
My husband Jake and I have been married for just a few months, and we live together with our cat, Comet.
McFadden holds a special place in my families life with both my sister and I as alumni, and my mom, Ms. Mansfield, even worked here as an EA and in the front office!
I am so excited to get to know all of the wonderful students here as together we learn, read, laugh, and grow!
This year teamwork is an integral part of our library.  Mrs. Frazier and Mrs. Sloan will work together to make this experience a positive one.  The McFadden Library has an incredible collection of books, and we are always looking for new titles.
Our fundraisers include:
  • Smart Cards
The library sells these cards during the first month of school.  The cost is 20.00 and 10.00 goes to the library to purchase books and supplies.
  • Scholastic Book Fairs
Book fairs are typically in the library during the week of the first 2 showcase events.  We have added hundreds of titles, mostly non-fiction, to our collection through the support of the book fairs.
  •  Donations
If you are looking for a gift that is opened over and over again, consider a book for the library.  We have a special display for books donated in honor of, in memory of, for birthdays or Christmas. For details,  please see Mrs. Frazier or Mrs. Sloan if you are interested.
