My name is Debbie Butrum.  I am currently in my 40th year of teaching.  Most of those years have been at McFadden.  I love this school and have been here through many changes.  I am a mother of 2 who both attended McFadden several years ago.  I received all of my degrees from MTSU.  I get to spend my days reading books and talking to your children about them.  I have the best job at the best school with the best kids.  First grade and Second grade classes will be taught by Ms. Butrum.
My name is Megan Frazier.  I have worked both in Murfreesboro City Schools and Rutherford County.  I am the mother of three amazing daughters who currently attend or are alumni at this school.  My husband works for Raymond James as a certified financial planner.  I love to spend free time at World Outreach Church and on my parents' farm.  Anticipation fills the walls of this library as I engage with the students and parents of the McFadden family.  Kindergarten and Third grade classes will be taught by Mrs. Frazier.
My name is Janet McElhanon.  This year marks my 29th year as a library assistant at McFadden.  I earned my B.S. from MTSU in 2004.  Outside of McFadden, I read, travel, and spend time with my family.  I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to establish a career here.
This year teamwork is an integral part of our library.  Ms. Butrum, Mrs. McElhanon, and Mrs. Frazier will work together to make this experience a positive one.  The McFadden Library has an incredible collection of books, and we are always looking for new titles.
Our fundraisers include:
Smart Cards are available in the library during the first month of school.  The cost is 20.00 and 10.00 goes to the library to purchase books and supplies.
Scholastic Book Fairs- Book fairs will be in the library during the week of the first 2 showcase events.  We have added hundreds of titles, mostly non-fiction, to our collection through the support of the book fairs.
Donations- If you are looking for a gift that is opened over and over again, consider a book for the library.  We have a special display for books donated in honor of, in memory of, for birthdays or Christmas. For details,  please see Mrs. Butrum or Mrs. McElhanon if you are interested.
