Welcome
I am so excited to join the McFadden family as a first grade teacher! I am originally from Kansas where I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Kansas State University and earned my Masters in English Speakers of Other Languages from MidAmerican Nazarene University. I have been teaching for about 12 years. Throughout my career, I have taught in Kansas (6 years-grades 1-3), Missouri (1/2 year ESL- grades 1,3,5) , and Tennessee (5.5 years- classroom grades 2,3, ESL grades 3,4). I have two children, Nelson and Luna. Nelson will be in 4th grade at McFadden and Luna will be starting Pre-K. When I am not busy coming up with new and interesting ways to teach my students, I can be found chauffeuring my own kiddos to dance, theatre, ninja, etc! I enjoy traveling, exercising, reading, and shopping. My goal for this year is to build a community of trust within my classroom that will help foster a love of learning for all students.
