Welcome
Hello! I am excited to have spent 13 years teaching at a Rutherford County School. My teaching journey began at Walter Hill Elementary before I transitioned to McFadden. I have lived in Murfreesboro my entire life and have strong ties to the community, having attended Walter Hill School from kindergarten through eighth grade.
I met my husband at Oakland High School, and we have been happily married for 23 years. Together, we have two wonderful children: my son, Garrett, a sophomore at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and my daughter, Taylor Anne, a senior at Middle Tennessee State University.
After my children started school, I decided to further my education, earning both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Middle Tennessee State University, as well as my Ed.S. in educational leadership from Arkansas State University. I am certified to teach from Pre-K through 8th grade.
Teaching is my calling, and I am deeply passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives, just as my great teachers did for me. As a teacher, I have a unique role in mentoring, teaching, and empathetically listening to my students while providing a safe and nurturing environment for all. This year, I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten and look forward to creating a joyful learning experience for my students.
