Welcome

Hello, it's great to teach at a Rutherford County School for 12 years. I started my teaching journey at Walter Hill Elementary before moving to McFadden. I have spent my entire life in Murfreesboro and have deep roots in the community, attending Walter Hill School from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. My husband and I met at Oakland High School, and we have been happily married for 23 years, with two exceptional children. Garrett, my son, is a Freshman at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, and my daughter, Taylor Anne, is a Junior at Middle Tennessee State University. After my children started school, I decided to continue my education journey, earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Middle Tennessee State University. I am certified to teach from Pre-K to 8th grade. I'm looking forward to graduating in December of 2024 with my education specialist degree in Administration Leadership.

Teaching is my calling. I am deeply passionate about positively impacting people's lives, just as my great teachers did for me. As a teacher, I have a unique role in mentoring, teaching, and empathetically listening to my students, providing a safe and nurturing environment for all my students. I'm thrilled to teach Kindergarten this year and am eager to create a joyful learning experience for my students.
