This is my 9th year teaching at a Rutherford County School. I previously taught at Walter Hill Elementary before coming to McFadden. I was born and raised in Murfreesboro. I attended Walter Hill School as a kindergartner all the way up to eighth grade. After leaving Walter Hill, I attended Oakland High School where I met my husband. We have been married for 20 years and have two extraordinary children. Garrett is a sophomore at Central Magnet School, and Taylor Anne is freshman at Motlow State. When my children went to school, I went back to school and obtained my Bachelor's degree and Master's degree at Middle Tennessee State University. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 8th grade.
I chose to become a teacher because I want to influence lives for the better and be like all my great teachers that have influenced me in positive ways. I have the chance to be an amazing teacher and to influence your child’s life in a special way. Teaching is one of the greatest gifts in life. My goal is to be a wonderful mentor, teacher, listener, and provide a safe environment where everyone feels a sense of community. I am extremely excited to teach 4th grade this year! My students bring me joy every day!!!
