Welcome!

Though I am new to the McFadden staff, the Herods have been Mustangs since 2012!  I have three daughters- Eryn, Annie, and Charlie- who have each attended MSE, and now it’s Mom’s turn! In the sparse time I’m not busy being a dance/soccer/art/music mom, I enjoy design, art, gardening, photography, and snuggling with my dogs, Earl and Otis.  I have been married to my husband, Robbie, for 21 years, and we have spent the last 8 years renovating our Christiana home built in 1883. 

From a young age, I knew I wanted to help and serve others.  I graduated from MTSU in 2006 and began my professional journey as a Therapeutic Social Worker, supporting children in foster care. In 2011, I obtained my Special Education teaching license and began teaching at Mitchell-Neilson Elementary. I taught Special Education at MNE for a total of 12 years, including three years in Behavior Modification and nine years in Resource/Inclusion. The most rewarding part of my job is helping students gain confidence in areas that are challenging for them. I absolutely LOVE being a Special Educator, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to support the students and staff at MSE!
