I am so thankful to be a part of the McFadden family! I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Middle Tennessee State University. I have taught for 21 years; I spent 7 years teaching “Big K” and 8 years teaching Kindergarten Readiness. This is my seventh year teaching kindergarten at McFadden, and I love the family and community here. I have a heart for Early Childhood Education, and my daily prayer is that your child leaves at the end of each day with some little nugget of knowledge, wisdom, and/or character that he/she didn’t have when the morning bell rang.
I have been married to my husband, Brent, for 19 years, and we have two children, Cole (12, 6th grade at Central) and Allie (9, 3rd grade at McFadden). When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to concerts (my favorite place to see a show is the Ryman Auditorium!), and reading. I believe in health from the inside-out; I try to eat healthfully more frequently than I don't (a real Coke is required when you eat Mexican!), and I fell in love with CrossFit 3 years ago.
I have enjoyed watching the current family of students at McFadden grow throughout the years, and I look forward to developing relationships with the new families and watching the new members grow and learn!
