Welcome to the McFadden Library!

My name is Megan Frazier.  Lynchburg, TN, was my home until moving to Murfreesboro, where I attended Middle Tennessee State University, obtaining a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Then, I worked as a graduate assistant, gaining my master’s degree in Reading.  In 2018, I enrolled in classes yet again at Middle Tennessee State University and acquired an endorsement as a Library Media Specialist.  In 2024, I completed an educational specialist degree from Arkansas State University.  Previously, I worked for both Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City Schools, where I taught first, third, and fourth grades.  I have been married for twenty years to my husband, Wes, who is a Certified Financial Planner with Grace Financial Partners of Raymond James.  I not only work at McFadden, but I also have had the privilege of being a parent here.  My daughters, Annesley, Ella, and Charlotte, are all McFadden alumni who attend Providence Christian Academy.  This school means a great deal to our family, and I am reminded daily of what an amazing season of life this is.

Many afternoons are spent in the gym, on a court, or on a field watching cheer, soccer, tennis, or basketball.    Exercising, reading, going to the farm, and spending time with my family are some of my hobbies.  I am a member of World Outreach Church and had the opportunity to travel to Israel in June of 2023.  Community is such an important part of who I am, and being part of this community is a gift!

Heather Henderson

My name is Heather Henderson. I am the Library EA here at McFadden, and I am so excited to be here with these amazing students and staff. I have a wonderful husband named Wesley. I have one amazing son, Walker, who is nine years old and a student here. My family and I love tent camping and enjoying the beautiful world that God has created. I love reading, so the library is a perfect fit for me. I am looking forward to getting to know the students better and helping them grow in the wonderful world of reading.

This year, teamwork is an integral part of our library.  Mrs. Frazier and Mrs. Henderson will work together to make this experience a positive one.  The McFadden Library has an incredible collection of books, and we are always looking for new titles.

Our fundraisers include:
  • Smart Cards
The library sells these cards during the first month of school.  The cost is $25.00.  $12.50 in profit is given to the library for purchasing books and supplies.
  • Scholastic Book Fairs
Hundreds of titles, mostly non-fiction, have been added to our collection through the support of the book fairs.
  •  Donations
If you are looking for a gift that is opened over and over again, consider a book for the library.  We have a special display for books donated in honor of, in memory of, for birthdays, or for Christmas. Please see Mrs. Frazier or Mrs. Henderson if you are interested.
